About Me
Hi, I’m Jeannie Elbing and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with teens, young adults and new parents who have ongoing challenges with depression and anxiety or who are simply seeking support during a difficult life transition.
As a mother of three, I understand how important it is to have emotional support during pregnancy, postpartum and motherhood, and I am passionate about my work with women and new and expecting parents.
In addition to private practice, I work as a mental health therapist at a children’s hospital where I work with pediatric patients ages 4-17 who are experiencing a wide range of issues from learning disabilities to severe mental illness.
I am passionate about the populations I serve and love what I do. I have a strong pull towards helping others and bring an open, nonjudgemental presence to sessions.
I have a natural ability to:
Help people identify what they are feeling
Collaborate with people to set goals and help them reach them
Explain mental health symptoms in an easy to understand way
Inspire hope for getting better
People who know me often say that I am a good listener who can help people through difficult and stressful times.
