About Me
Hi, I’m Jeannie Elbing, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in working with kids, teens, and young adults who are navigating depression, anxiety, or going through a challenging life transition.
Prior to starting my private practice, I worked as a mental health therapist at a children’s hospital, where I supported pediatric patients aged 4-17 facing a wide range of issues, from learning disabilities to more severe mental health challenges. This experience was a formative part of my career and has significantly influenced my approach to therapy today.
I’m passionate about the populations I serve and truly love the work I do. I bring an open, nonjudgmental, and compassionate presence to each session, and I work collaboratively with clients to help them achieve their goals.
I have a natural ability to:
Help people identify and process their emotions
Collaborate on setting and achieving meaningful goals
Explain mental health symptoms in clear, understandable terms
Inspire hope for healing and growth
Those who know me often say I’m a good listener and able to guide people through difficult and stressful times with understanding and support.
As a mother of three, I also understand the importance of emotional support during pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood. I am passionate about supporting women and new and expecting parents through these transformative stages of life.
